Patricia Ann Smith Abernathy

Patricia Ann Smith Abernathy, age 90, of Lincolnton, passed away on Saturday, April 6, 2024.
Her funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, April 10, 2024, at First Baptist Church in Lincolnton with the Rev. Dr. Stanley Spence officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 12:00 p.m. until 1:45 p.m. Wednesday, prior to the service at the church.
Mrs. Abernathy was born November 24, 1933 in Chester County, SC to the late, Zebulon Vance and Ludie Brakefield Smith, Sr. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Jack McCraven Abernathy; a daughter, Teresa Abernathy Henley; two brothers, Zebulon Vance Smith, Jr. and George Hennies Smith. She was an insurance agent and owner of Lincoln Insurance Agency.
She is survived by her two daughters, Cyndi Noles and husband Mark of Cramerton, Jackie Chapman and husband Scott of Lincolnton; son-in-law, Andrew “A.J.” Henley of Cherryville; one sister, Martha Smith Curry and husband Lee of Myrtle Beach, SC; five grandchildren, Lacie Chapman Norman and husband Kevin of Vale, Tyler Chapman of Crouse, Matthew Noles of Washington, D.C., Bayleigh Stroupe and husband Wes of Charleston, SC, McCraven Brooke Henley of Cherryville; three great grandchildren, Holden McCraven Norman, Ashtyn Chapman, Raelynn Patrice Norman; numerous nieces and nephews.
