Katie Byers Williams

Katie Byers Williams, age 86, of Lincolnton, died on Thursday, March 14, 2024.
Her funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, March 19, 2024, in the Warlick Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Travis Elmore officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 10:00 until 10:45 a.m. prior to the service at the funeral home.
Mrs. Williams was born January 29, 1938, in Lincoln County, to the late Carl and Sarah Carpenter Byers. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Lester Elliott Williams; daughter, Darlene Elmore; brothers Claude Byers and John Byers; and sisters, Isabell Faulkner and Ella Mae Ramsey. She worked in textiles and enjoyed playing bingo, puzzles, and gardening.
She is survived by a granddaughter, Beth Cain of Lincolnton; grandson, Travis Elmore (Candace) of Vale; great-grandsons, Jacob Cain of Lincolnton and Easton and Silas Elmore of Vale; great-granddaughter, Layla Cain of Lincolnton; and sister, Katherine Keever of Lincolnton.
Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society, 1901 Brunswick Avenue, Suite 100, Charlotte, NC 28207.
