Barbara Jarrett Towery

Barbara Jarrett Towery, age 83, of Bess Chapel Church Road in Cherryville, died on Wednesday, April 5, 2023.
A Celebration of Life service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, April 8, 2023, at Covenant Church with Rev. Mike Devine officiating. The family will receive friends from 1:00 until 2:00 p.m. on Saturday at the church.
Mrs. Towery was born September 25, 1939, in Gaston County, to the late Charles and Alpla Self Jarrett. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Esper Towery; and two children, Sharon Elizabeth “Sherry”, and Charles Richard “Ricky”. She worked as a district manager for Avon.
She is survived by two daughters, Carol Powell (Jeff), and Krista Devine (Mike); grandchildren, Misty Watt (Ryan), Jordyn Fletcher (Joe), Spencer Shelton (Hannah), Sydney Bass (Alex), Camryn Devine, and Caroline Powell; ten great-grandchildren; and one sister, Charlene Sisk.
