Russell Delano Christopher

Russell Delano Christopher, age 89, of Katherine Court, Dallas, NC passed away on Saturday, April 1, 2023.
A graveside service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, April 7, 2023 at Forest Lawn Cemetery in Lincolnton with Rev. Mike Scott officiating. The family will visit with those attending following the graveside service.
Mr. Christopher was born on April 29, 1933 to the late Junious Ralph and Blondie Mathis Christopher. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Frances Pittman Christopher and his brother, Riley Christopher. Mr. Christopher was retired as a manager in the textile industry. Russell never had an enemy and everyone loved him for his humbleness, kindness and wisdom. He was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather and uncle.
He is survived by his daughter, Lorie C. Parker and husband, Mel of High Shoals; one grandson, Garrett Shelton of Stanley; and numerous nieces, nephews and special nephew, Hap.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Lincoln County Veterans Services, 302 North Academy Street, Lincolnton, NC 28092 or to Hospice of Gaston County, Inc. 258 East Garrison Blvd., Watertown Place, Gastonia, NC 28054.
