Shawn Ely Guiles, Jr., age 29, of 423 Rash Road in Lincolnton, died on Monday, March 27, 2023.
The family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. on Friday, March 31, 2023, at Warlick Funeral Home.
Shawn was born March 7, 1994, in Lincoln County, to Shawn Ely Guiles, Sr. and Gena Brannon Cornell. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Wanda Lene Long and John Dennis Brannon; as well as his paternal grandfather, Donald Adelbert Guiles. He was self-employed in construction.
He is survived by his father, Shawn Ely Guiles, Sr. of Maiden; mother, Gena Brannon Cornell and stepfather Wade Peace of Lincolnton; daughter, Rayleigh Elaine Guiles; sisters, Samantha Le Cornell and brother-in-law Ralph Sain of Vale, and Shiane Renee Guiles of South Carolina; paternal grandmother, Barbara Cahill of Maiden; aunt, Trixie Rhyne and uncle Keith Hart of Lincolnton, and aunt Leanne French and uncle Chad of Maiden; uncle, Donnie Guiles of New York, and Russell Rhyne of Crouse; two half-brothers, Austin Peace and Levi Peace; half-sister, Allyson Peace; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
