Carol Yvonne Twite Leonard

Carol Yvonne Twite Leonard, age 73, of Burton Street in Sherrills Ford, passed away on Tuesday, March 21, 2023.
Carol was born April 26, 1949 to Betty Wilson Twite and the late Aaron “Bud” Twite. She grew up in San Diego, California and graduated from El Cajon Valley High School. Her lifelong love of being a flight attendant brought her to North Carolina. She began her career with PSA in 1970 and spent 50 years flying, ending her career in 2020 with American Airlines. Carol loved flying and gave of her time as a flight attendant by flying with American Soldiers during the Iraq War, helping victims leave Louisiana after Katrina and flying with the Carolina Panthers to the Superbowl in 2015.
In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by her sister, Debbie Houx.
She is survived by her husband, Steve Leonard of the home; son, Jason Hill (Tiffany); niece, Danielle Houx Keeline (Brian); nephew, Ryan Houx (Leslie); stepdaughter, Stacey Crouse (Jeff); stepson, Jared Leonard (Megan); her granddaughters Charlie Hill and Gracie Crouse; her grandson, Colden Hill; and numerous great-nieces and nephews.
A celebration of life will be held at a later time.
