Norman Jefferson Nolen
( March 15, 1942 - January 15, 2023 )
Norman Jefferson Nolen, age 80, of Black Road in Cherryville, and formerly of Nolen Acres Lane in Iron Station, died on Sunday, January 15, 2023.

His funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, January 20, 2023, in the Warlick Funeral Home Chapel.  Burial will follow in the New Grace Baptist Church Cemetery.  The family will receive friends from 1:00 until 1:45 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home.

Mr. Nolen was born March 15, 1942, in Gaston County, to the late John A. Nolen and Mary Caldwell Nolen.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Linda Nolen; sons, Jeff, Terry (Bo), and Eric; brothers, Jerry and Charlie; sisters, Carol Reel, Caroline Nolen and Roberta Sharpe; and grandchildren, Camden Nolen, Josh Nolen, Jeffrey Nolen, and Bradley Nolen.    

He is survived by a son, Frank Nolen of Troutman; two brothers, Larry Nolen of Denver and Neil Nolen of Virginia; three sisters, Mary Lee Lawson, Vanessa, and Margaret Tallent; nine grandchildren, Linda Hawkins, Terry “Bo” Nolen, Corey Nolen, Matt Nolen, Eric Nolen, Jessica Nolen, Gabe Nolen, Ryan Nolen, and Aaron Nolen; and six great-grandchildren, Jacob Hawkins, Clay Hawkins, Autumn Hawkins, Breley Hawkins, Mason Nolen, Bradley Nolen, Kinsley Nolen, Aubree Nolen, and Braxton Nolen.
