Brenda Hallman Long

Brenda Hallman Long, age 79, of John Chapman Road in Lincolnton, went to her Heavenly home on Friday, January 13, 2023.
A Celebration of Life service will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, January 15, 2023, in the Warlick Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Eric Reel and Rev. Justin Cunningham officiating. The family will receive friends from 1:45 until 2:45 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home.
Mrs. Long was born March 29, 1943, in Lincoln County, to the late Bill and Lillian Towery Hallman. She worked as a teacher’s assistant in the Lincoln County School System for 20+ years until retirement. She then went on to work for another 20+ years at Steele Creek Park and Campground in Morganton, owned by dear friends, Joey and Sherry Wakefield. Brenda was also a member of Impact Community Church in Iron Station.
She is survived by her husband, Larry L. Long of the home; daughter, Cindy Long of Newton; son, Brent Long (Lynn) of Lincolnton; sister, Billie Ann Lynch (Johnny) Cherryville; two granddaughters, Meagan Linkous (Austin), and Madison Rowles; remaining family members, niece Kim, great-niece Taylor; and brother-in-law, Robert “Bob” Long (Beth) and their children, niece Leigh, and nephew, J.P.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Diabetes Association, PO Box 7023, Merrifield, VA 22116-7023.
