Joy Williams Barrett, age 65, of Lincolnton, died on Sunday, March 20, 2022.
A graveside service will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Friday, March 25, 2022, in Forest Lawn Cemetery with Pastor Butch Ross officiating. The family will receive friends from 12:00 until 2:30 p.m. on Friday at Warlick Funeral Home.
Joy was born May 12, 1956, in Lincoln County, to the late Garland Carl Williams and Louise Starr Williams. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her late husband of 33 years, Freddie Barrett; and brother and sister-in-law, Dan Auton and Gail Williams. Joy graduated from Gardner-Webb University and worked as a registered nurse for Hospice and Palliative Care Charlotte Region.
She is survived by her husband, Jim Gaddy of the home; daughters, Kelsey B. Williams (Travis) and Kendall B. Boulding (Brandon), all of Lincolnton; granddaughter, Charlotte Boulding; grandson, Landon LaFar; brothers and sisters, Roger Williams, Deanie Auton, and Dennis Williams (Sandra); a number of nieces and nephews; and her furbabies, Sophie and Bonita.
Memorials may be made to Hospice of Lincoln County, 900 Dontia Drive, Lincolnton, NC 28092.
