Mary Ellen Newell Smith, age 79, of Lincolnton, died peacefully on Tuesday, February 1, 2022.
Mary was born March 5, 1941, in Calhoun County, West Virginia, to the late Sella William Newell and Dora Monroe Newell. She was loved by all of her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
She is survived by her husband, Kenneth Paul Smith; son, Ralph “Fred” Westfall of Mt. Claire, WV; daughters, Vanessa Ware of Fairmont, WV, Sheila Fisher of Kershaw, SC, Theresa Mingus of Thornton, WV, and Jacqueline Lamb of Columbus, OH; sister, Fannie "Penny" Drummond of Clearwater, FL; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Services will be held at a later date.
