Frederick C. Scheideman

Fred Scheideman, 72, of Lincolnton, NC died suddenly on Friday, January 28, 2022, of complications from a recent surgery.
He was born June 16, 1949 in Pittsburgh, PA, the oldest of three sons of the late Richard and Gertrude (Smotzer) Scheideman. He was also preceded in death by his daughter-in-law Carolyn. Fred is a graduate of Carnegie Mellon University in Pittsburgh, PA and Northwestern University, Chicago, IL. He had a successful career that spanned four decades. He enjoyed hiking, canoeing, bicycling, woodworking, gardening, traveling, and learning new things.
Fred is survived by his wife, Marcia Lynn (O’Connor) and son, Benjamin Arthur; brothers Richard Albert (Delores) and Robert Eugene (Lisa); nephews Michael and Ryan; niece, Kendra Elizabeth and grandnieces Monroe Rose and Nadea Kay.
A memorial service is being planned for a later date.
