Roger Dale Goins

Roger Dale Goins, age 75, of Pinetree Street in Lincolnton, died on Thursday, January 27, 2022, after a lengthy battle with dementia.
A graveside service will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday, February 1, 2022, in the Gainsville Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Eric Reel officiating.
Roger was born June 2, 1946, in Lincoln County, to the late Lawrence Edward Goins and Hazel Pauline Mayberry Goins. In addition to his parents, he was preceded by his wife, Brenda Ingle Goins. He graduated from Lincolnton High School. Afterwards, he served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. Upon returning home, he worked on the dock in shipping and receiving for Carolina Freight Carriers.
He is survived by a son, Roger “Dale” Goins, II of Lincolnton; daughter, Nikki Milholland (Jason) of Lincolnton; four grandchildren, Rylie Powell, and Marshall, Keaton, and Josie Milholland; and a brother, Doug Goins (Patty) of Lincolnton.
