Stanley Keith Carpenter, Sr.

Stanley Keith Carpenter, Sr., age 82, of Camp Creek Road in Iron Station, died on Tuesday, January 25, 2022.
His funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, January 31, 2022, at Sharon Baptist Church with Rev. David Walker officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1:00 until 1:45 p.m. on Monday at the church.
Mr. Carpenter was born June 15, 1939, in Gaston County, to the late Harvey and Mary Bowman Carpenter. In addition to his parents, he was preceded by a great-granddaughter, Brooklyn Cockerline; and sister, Shirley Smith. He worked as a driver of heavy equipment.
He is survived by his wife, Doris Dellinger Carpenter of the home; two sons, Stanley Keith Carpenter, Jr. (Tonya) of Lincolnton, and William Harvey Carpenter (Penny) of Cherryville; daughter, Elaine Self (Garry) of Lawndale; seven grandchildren, Billy Carpenter (Callie), Joshua Carpenter (Lyndsay), Alicia Cockerline (Jason), Garry Self, Jr., Noell Self, Lilly Crouse (Anthony), and William Harvey Carpenter, Jr. (Adrienne); and great-grandchildren, Logan Carpenter, Caleb Carpenter, Colton Carpenter, Nathan Cockerline, Jonathan Morgan, Alyssa Crouse, Miley Walls, Anniston Carpenter, Haisley Carpenter, and Maverick Carpenter.
