Terry Keith Gales
( November 15, 1948 - December 30, 2021 )
Terry Keith Gales, age 73, of Owls Den Road in Lincolnton, died on Thursday, December 30, 2021, at his home.

His funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, January 2, 2022, at Reepsville Baptist Church with Rev. Jeff Hull officiating.  Burial will follow in the church cemetery.  The family will receive friends from 1:00 until 1:45 p.m. prior to the service at the church.

Mr. Gales was born November 15, 1948, in Lincoln County, to the late Carl and Texie Gales. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by brother, Jerry Gales; brother and sister-in-law, Larry and Linda Gales; mother-in-law, Ruby Inez Morrison; son, John Adam Clark; and two brothers-in-law, Alvin Morrison and Gary Morrison.  Mr. Gales worked in manufacturing until retirement.  Terry, with his loving wife ‘Maw’ loved the outdoors, hunting, fishing, and gardening.  He shared his love of all these things with everyone that proudly called him ‘Paw’.  He was the best husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and great-grandfather.  

He is survived by his wife of 30 years, Brenda Morrison Gales of the home; daughters, Melissa G. Cook (Arnold), Susan G. Carpenter (Mike), Kristie G. Gilbert (Todd), all of Vale, Bonita K. Martin (Mark) of Maiden, and Kisha G. Hayes of Vale; three brothers, Wayne Gales (Betty), Lester Gales, and Doug Gales (Judy); two sisters, Shirley Long and Dora Jones; grandchildren; Curtis (Jen) Cook, Bradley (Ashley) Carpenter, Sommer (Trey) Parker, Austin (Makayla) Gilbert, Wyatt Hayes, Clinton Gerlits, Kristina (Cody) Roe, Samantha (Ian) Lester, Haleigh Lester, and Shelby (Jerry) Ramsey; great-grandchildren, Raleigh and Remi Cook, Bristol and Lainey Carpenter, Eclipsa Roe, and one on the way, Alexander Newton; brother-in-law, Bobby Morrison (Melissa); and many nieces and nephews, and special extended family, Donnie, Chelsie, Bayleigh, and MacKenzie Turner.
