Carole Jane Oglesby Holmes

Carole Jane Oglesby Holmes, age 82, of Oak Grove Church Road in Lincolnton, died on Tuesday, November 16, 2021.
A memorial service will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Friday, November 19, 2021, at Marvin United Methodist Church with Rev. Amy Vaughan officiating. The family will receive friends from 2:00 until 2:45 p.m. prior to the service.
Carole was born September 26, 1939, in Granite Falls, to the late George Carl Oglesby and Margaret Lee Starnes Oglesby. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by a son, Edward Carl Lints.
She is survived by her children, Mary Margaret Burris (William), and Jeffrey David Lints, all of Lincolnton, Carl Steven Holmes (Aimee) of High Shoals, and Elizabeth Holmes Smart of Kings Mountain; sister, Barbara Schrader of Utica, NY; grandchildren, Meghan Burris, Tyler Colvard (Sarah), Matthew Holmes, Sarah Lints, Mary Holmes, Zan Atwell, Drew Atwell, and Gage Smart; great-grandchildren, Hailey and Caroline Lee; and daughter-in-law, Cindy Lints.
Memorials may be made to the March of Dimes, 904 S. Kings Drive, Charlotte, NC 28201, or to Marvin United Methodist Church, 2731 Startown Road, Lincolnton, NC 28092.
