Polly Christine Cherry Mabrey

Polly Christine Cherry Mabrey, age 84, of Stanley, passed away on Wednesday, November 10, 2021.
A graveside service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, November 12, 2021, in Forest Lawn Cemetery with Pastor Mike Davis officiating. The family will receive friends at the home following the graveside service.
Mrs. Mabrey was born December 5, 1936, in Gaston County, to the late James Albert Cherry and Wilma Coley Cherry. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by three brothers, Tom Cherry, James Cherry, and Ronald Cherry; and a sister, Sheila Beal. She worked for AT&T over thirty years.
She is survived by her husband of 65 years, Bobby E. Mabrey of the home; son, Chris Mabrey (Amy Wingate) of Stanley; daughter, Cyndi Whitson of Lake Wylie, SC; three brothers, John Cherry (Patricia), Randy Cherry (Jeannie), and Tony Cherry, all of Lincolnton; two sisters, Barbara Cummings (Zeb) of Rocky Mount, and Wanda Riviere of Marco Island, FL; and two grandchildren, Katelyn Whitson and Kristen Whitson.
