Robert Edgar Dalton

Robert Edgar Dalton, age 74, of Hudson Poultry Road, Iron Station passed away on Saturday, March 6 2021.
A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, March 9, 2021 in Forest Lawn Cemetery with Dr. Hugh Whitfield officiating. His body will lie in state at Warlick Funeral Home from 1:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. on Monday, March 8, 2021.
Mr. Dalton was born on April 13, 1946 and was the son of the late Datha Pink “D.P.” Dalton and Mary Elizabeth Shrum Dalton. He was also preceded in death by his sister, Mary Rita Dalton. Mr. Dalton retired after 28 ½ years from Duke Energy having worked at the Riverbend Steam Station and was a veteran of the Air National Guard.
Mr. Dalton is survived by his wife, Mary Ervin Dalton of the home; one son, Robert S. Dalton and wife, Lee Ann of Iron Station and two granddaughters, Caroline and Isabelle.
Memorials may be made to the Lincoln County Coalition Against Domestic Violence, P.O. Box 476, Lincolnton, N.C. 28093-0476, Pearl Baptist Church Benevolent Fund, 4657 NC-27, Iron Station, NC 28080, or to the charity of one’s choice.
