John Roy Reynolds, age 93, of Brady Hoffman Road in Lincolnton died Wednesday, December 30, 2020.
Mr. Reynolds was born August 21, 1927 in Lincoln County. He was the son of the late George M. Reynolds and Vera Crump Reynolds. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife Bessie Hester Reynolds. Mr. Reynolds was a veteran of the United States Navy. He was a supervisor in textiles. He attended Covenant Church.
A graveside service will be held 1:00 p.m. Saturday, January 2, 2021 at Pisgah United Methodist Church Cemetery. A celebration of life service will follow at 2:00 p.m. at Covenant Church. Rev. Michael Goins and Rev. Joey Williams and Rev. Nathan Grooms will officiate. Mr. Reynolds will lie in state at Warlick Funeral Home from 12:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. Friday, January 1, 2021 for those who wish to pay their respects. The family will not be at the funeral home due to Covid19 restrictions.
Mr. Reynolds is survived by his son, John Wayne Reynolds and wife Sandy of Lincolnton; daughters, Debra Hurt and husband Tim; Peggy Cantrell and husband Mike both of Lincolnton; brother, Ray Reynolds of Stanley; sisters, Mary Hartman, Dot Prater, Louise Boyce all of Lincolnton and Georgie Maners of Sharon, SC; grandchildren, Lisa Carnes, Kelly Goins, Aaron Cantrell, Brandon Hurt, Brent Tyler Reynolds and Crystal Pfeifer; ten great grandchildren.
Memorials may be made to Robin Johnson Hospice House, 5005 Shepards Way Dr., Dallas, NC 28034.
