John Francis Jackowski, Sr.
( August 14, 1926 - December 22, 2020 )
Current resident of Lincolnton, North Carolina, John F. Jackowski, Sr., 94, passed away at CaroMont Regional Medical Center on December 22, 2020.
There was a gathering of family and friends with interment of ashes in Crossville, Tennessee, alongside his wife of 66 years, at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church.
Most of his young life was spent in Schenectady, New York. He graduated from Mt. Pleasant High School. He enlisted in the Navy in 1943 and was assigned to Okinawa in the Seebees (C.B.).
Upon Honorable discharge from the Navy, he relocated back to the Schenectady, NY area. He began his career in the dairy industry with Sealtest Dairy. His career led him to several dairy managerial positions, retiring from Pet Dairy, North Carolina.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Cecile Jackowski in 2013, his parents and siblings.
John F. Jackowski, Sr. is survived by his son, John F. Jackowski, Jr. (Elizabeth); three grandchildren and spouses, Allison and Ken Thorsen, John and Melissa Jackowski, Katherine and James McElmurray; and five great-grandchildren.
