Billy Edwin Crowder
( October 14, 1941 - November 30, 2020 )
On November 30, 2020, Billy Edwin “Bill” Crowder, age 79, of 2240 Tin Mine Road in Lincolnton, met Jesus face to face.

A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, December 3, 20202, in the cemetery of Victory Grove Baptist Church with Rev. Clay Ledford, Rev. Chad Butler, and Rev. David Jarrell officiating.  A memorial service will then follow at 2:45 p.m. in the church.

He was the son of the late J.C. and Dorothy Crowder.  He worked as a driver for Concrete Supply.  Bill spent his life serving others and the Lord.  He was a Boy Scout leader and very involved in his church.  He touched the lives of many people through his gift of music.  He sang and played the guitar and mandolin at church and his nursing home ministry.  He taught Sunday School and led the choir at Victory Grove Baptist for many years.  He and his wife were Linc Meal delivery volunteers for over 15 years.  He was a master gardener, and loved sitting on his golf cart, reading his Bible, and watching his garden grow.

He leaves behind a loving family:  wife of 60 years, Gloria Cody Crowder; daughter, Kenda Spivey; son, Darren Crowder (Lisa); grandchildren, Krista Huss (Matt), Ryan Spivey (Teneil), Erika Ramiro (Lucas), and Madison Crowder; great-grandchildren, Wade and Wyatt Huss, and Finn Spivey; and sister, Carolyn Butler.

In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Bill may be made to Carolina Caring, 3975 Robinson Road, Newton, NC  28658.
