Mary Black Hudson

Mary Black Hudson, age 85, of East Maiden Road in Maiden, died on Friday, November 29, 2019.
A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, December 2, 2019, at Forest Lawn Cemetery with Pastor Shawn Milburn officiating. The family will receive friends on Monday from 12:00 until 1:30 p.m. at the funeral home.
Mrs. Hudson was born February 11, 1934, in Cleveland County, to the late Nannie Pearl Dover McMurry. In addition to her mother, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Joe Burton Black; a sister, Pauline Dellinger; and a brother, Bill McMurry. She worked in textiles.
She is survived by two sons, Joe David Black of Maiden, and Michael Black of Lincolnton; four daughters, Lynn Black of Newton, Barbara Ann Boone of Marion, Debbie Houser of Newton, and Lori Ann Black of Gastonia; eight grandchildren, Shawn Milburn, Kevin Milburn, Curtis Bumgarner, Alicia Milburn, Wendy Milburn, Derek Bumgarner, and Daniel Black; and seven great-grandchildren.
