Barbara Anne Stroud

Barbara Anne Stroud, age 70, of Bailey Springs Drive in Lincolnton, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, September 4, 2019.
Her funeral service will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, September 7, 2019, at the Lincolnton Church of God with Rev. Dr. Richard King officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Saturday from 11:00 until 11:45 a.m. at the church.
Mrs. Stroud was born June 5, 1949, in Cabarrus County, to the late Clarence Baskins and Lizzie Osborne Baskins, who raised her. She is also preceded in death by her biological mother, Louise Baskins Mason. She worked in manufacturing.
She is survived by her husband, Billy Stroud of the Monroe; daughters, Cheryl S. Pate of Lincolnton, and Hope S. Bridges of Lancaster, SC; six grandchildren, Allison James, Chasity Hughes, Phelan Pate, Chris Hughes, and honorary grandchildren, Heather James, and Joanna Bostic; eight great-grandchildren; a sister, Wanda Collins of Albemarle; and honorary daughter, Mary Baskins of Rock Hill, SC.
Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society, 1901 Brunswick Avenue, Suite 100, Charlotte, NC 28207, or to Hospice of Lincoln County, 900 Dontia Drive, Lincolnton, NC 28092.
