Doris Holland Bowen, age 84, of Mayberry Road in Dallas, died on Monday, September 1, 2019.
A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, September 5, 2019, at New Bethel Independent Baptist Church in Gastonia.
Mrs. Bowen was born December 7, 1934, in Franklin County, Alabama, to the late Albert and Elma Pitts Holland. She worked in textiles.
She is survived by her husband, Lewis Bowen of the home; two sons, Kevin Bowen of Lincolnton, and Tony Bowen of the home; a daughter, Leslie Bowen of Cherryville; a sister, Kay Saxton of Alabama; and six grandchildren.
