Modeste Cecelia Gantnier Deskus

Modeste Cecelia Gantnier Deskus, age 94, of the Brian Center, died on Friday, February 15, 2019.
Her funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, February 18, 2019, at Holy Spirit Catholic Church with Father Carmen Malacari officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 4:00 until 6:00 p.m. on Sunday, February 17, 2019, at Warlick Funeral Home.
Mrs. Deskus was born June 24, 1924, in Benedicta, Maine, to the late Andrew and Annie Dubay Gantnier. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Edward Deskus; a son, Andrew Deskus; a daughter, Bonita Silkey; and several brothers and sisters.
She is survived by a son, Stephen Deskus (Cheryl) of Denver; two daughters, Theresa Salisbury of Willington, CT and Michelle Foley (Timothy) of Boston, MA; a sister, Elsie Karen of Rocky Hill, CT; twelve grandchildren, Curtis Deskus, Kristy Deskus, Nicole Silkey, Michael Deskus, Joey Deskus, Travis Deskus, Amber Deskus, Bobby Svelnys, Cassie Svelnys, Eamonn Foley, Roisin Foley, and Niamh Foley; numerous great-grandchildren including, Piper Winchester, Lydia Deskus and Lyla Deskus; and numerous nieces and nephews.
