“John Paul” Abernathy, age 26, of 495 Low Bridge Road in Iron Station, died on Sunday, December 2, 2018.
His funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, December 5, 2018, in the Warlick Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Wayne Brittain officiating. Burial will follow in High Shoals Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, December 4, 2018, at Warlick Funeral Home.
“John Paul” was born January 6, 1992, in Lincoln County, to Gene Abernathy and Angela Johnson Campbell. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Paul and Thelma Abernathy.
He is survived by his father, Gene Abernathy of Iron Station; his mother and stepfather, Angela J. Campbell, and husband Rick, of the home; a sister, Krista Abernathy of Iron Station; a step-brother, Shane Campbell of Lincolnton; a step-sister, Hannah Campbell of Lincolnton; and maternal grandparents, Judy and Johnny Johnson of Iron Station.
Memorials may be made to Temple Baptist, 3115 E. Highway 27, Lincolnton, NC 28092.
