Virginia Shidal Houser

Virginia Shidal Houser, age 90, of Rock Creek Drive in Lincolnton, died on Tuesday, September 4, 2018.
A Celebration of Life service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, September 8, 2018, at First United Methodist Church with Rev. Tony Matthews officiating. Burial will be private. In lieu of a receiving, Virginia requested that you share your stories, remembrances and condolences in writing so that her family may treasure them for years to come. Mrs. Houser was born December 24, 1927, in Lincoln County, to the late Ed and Nora Harn Shidal. She retired from teaching with the Lincoln County School System.
She is survived by two daughters, Martha H. Stetz, and husband Jock, of Newton, Amy H. Farley, and husband Dyer, of Lincolnton; grandchildren, Trey Luce, Damien Luce, Ashlea F. Kuster, and Jackson Farley; and seven great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to First United Methodist Church, 201 E. Main Street, Lincolnton, NC 28092.
