Sarah Frances Waller Painter

Sarah Frances Waller Painter, age 88, of Old Beatty Ford Road in Gold Hill, and formerly of Lincolnton, died on Wednesday, May 30, 2018.
Her funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, June 4, 2018, in the Warlick Funeral Home Chapel with Bill Beasley and Jimmy Brown officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 12:30 until 1:45 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home.
Mrs. Painter was born September 14, 1929, in Iredell County, to the late William Luther and Mary Emma Cline Waller. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Giles Painter; a daughter, Sarah Newell; a granddaughter, Amanda Lesley; son-in-law, Kenneth Lesley; five brothers; and five sisters.
She is survived by a son, Lewis Painter (Carol) of New Bern, NC; two daughters, Glenda Albert (Lee) of California, and Karen Lesley of Gold Hill, NC; son-in-law, Max Newell; nine grandchildren, Amy Caskey, Daryl Painter, Myra Johnson, Mary Nelson, Jennifer Bailey, Kevin Newell, Brian Lesley, Jeffrey Lesley, and Brenda Rooney; twelve great-grandchildren, Cynthia Smith, Tara and Kaycee Bailey, Brianna Painter, Rachel Johnson, Emily and Whitney Newell, Joseph and Jessica Nelson, Victoria Rooney, and Cameron and Spencer Lesley; two great-great-grandchildren, Bryson and Brystol Smith; and one step-great-grandchild, Zakk Lee.
