Shirley Jones McGinnis, age 88, of Lincolnton passed away Tuesday, May 29, 2018 Cardinal HealthCare, Lincolnton, NC.
Born October 29, 1929 in Cleveland County, she was the daughter of the late Boyce Jones and Mae Jones of Shelby. Shirley was a member of the Emmanuel Lutheran Church in Lincolnton. Shirley was active in the Lincolnton Rotary Club, Lions Club, Pilot Club, Lincoln County Country Club and numerous other community activities. In addition to her parents, husband, Donald McGinnis and brothers, Lyman Jones of Shelby and Norris Jones of Asheville preceded her in death.
Left to cherish her memory; niece, Pamela Patterson and husband Gary Patterson of Hickory, niece, Becky Jones Johnson of Shelby, nephew, Charles Jones and wife Angela of Raleigh and great-nephew Bryan Johnson of Shelby.
Services will be held Sunday, June 3, 2018 at 2 p.m., at Hollybrook Cemetery in Lincolnton, NC. Minister Michael Collins of Emmanuel Lutheran Church is officiating. In lieu of flowers please make donations to Emmanuel Lutheran Church. Lincolnton, NC.
