Patricia Dellinger Long
( June 22, 1937 - January 22, 2018 )
Patricia Dellinger “Trig” Long, age 80, of 2287 Country Club Road in Lincolnton, passed away on Monday, January 22, 2018, peacefully in her home surrounded by family.
Her funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, January 25, 2018, in the Warlick Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Tim Spencer officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 12:00 until 12:45 p.m. on Thursday prior to the service at the funeral home.
Mrs. Long was born June 22, 1937, in Lincoln County, to the late George W. Dellinger and Grace Murphy Dellinger. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Johnny R. Long, and sisters, Margaret Sanford and Sara Leonhardt. Patricia was retired from JP Stevens where she worked for 40+ years.
Patricia leaves behind two daughters, Cathey Scronce of the home, and Diane Moses, and husband Gary, of Maiden; a granddaughter, Tracy E. Clinton, and husband Mike of Vale; two great-grandchildren, Sierra Holland of Vale and Tyler Clinton, and wife Victoria, of Iron Station; one great-grandchild, Leland Clinton of Iron Station; and two brothers, George Dellinger, Jr., and wife Shirley, of Crouse, and Johnny Dellinger, and wife Brenda, of Lincolnton; one sister, Martha Neal of Crouse.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice of Lincoln County, 900 Dontia Drive, Lincolnton, NC 28092.
