Obituaries

Mr. Richard Gene “Rick” Auton, age 61, of 2617 Brookwood Road in Lincolnton, died on Friday, November 13, 2015.

Mr. Auton was born October 1, 1954, in Lincoln County, to the late Robert and Irene Gilbert Auton.  He worked in construction.

He is survived by his wife, Kimbery Byrd Auton of the home;  three sons, Robbie Auton of Crouse, and Todd Auton of Lincolnton; and Chris Dennis of Crouse; one daughter, Emily Beal of Vale; one brother, Jody Auton of Lincolnton; two sisters, Debbie Smith and Barbara Christopher, both of Lincolnton; and eleven grandchildren.
