Larry D. Simons, age 79 of Lincolnton, passed away on May 25, 2025.
Larry was born May 12, 1946, in Bluefield, West Virginia, to the late Monroe and Osie Bell Wassum Simons. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Ronnie Simons. Larry loved to work on cars, trucks, and all kinds of things. He played lead guitar for Dean & Poor Boys. He worked as a truck driver.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Wanda M. Simons of the home; children, Tammy Moore, Larry Simons, Jr., Brian Simons, David Simons, Nick Varela, and Nancy Varela; brothers, Billy Joe Simons, Jerry Simons, Melvin Simons, Beau Simons, and Frankie Simons; sisters, Brenda Hale and Kaye Shupe; and grandchildren, Steven M., Larry S. III, Greg S., Taylor L., Ross L., Karlie V., Owen V., Gavin V., Arianna V., and Todd Simons.
