Shirley Ann Sheppard Sheppard

Shirley Ann Sheppard Nicks, age 81, of River Loop Road in Belmont, died on Monday, March 4, 2024.
A graveside service will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Thursday, March 7, 2024, in the Thompson Evangelical Cemetery with Diane Sheppard officiating.
Shirley was born August 15, 1942, in Swain County, to the late William Kreed Sheppard, Sr. and Ruth Frisbee Sheppard. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Paul Nicks; daughter, Tammy Ann Burnette; her first husband, Odell Burnette; and brothers, William Sheppard, Jr., Tony Sheppard, and Mickey Sheppard.
She is survived by three brothers, Steve Sheppard (Diane) of Shelby and Richard Roy Sheppard (Ann), all of Shelby, and Kenneth Sheppard (Louise) of Pumpkin Center; and two sisters, Maxine Starnes (Louis) of Monroe and Doris Rhoton of Sherrills Ford.
Memorials may be made to the Humane Society of Gaston County, PO Box 2334, Gastonia, NC 28053.
