Varnell (Bonnie) Lutz

Varnell (Bonnie) Jones Lutz, age 93, of Golden Bay Court in Sherrills Ford, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Sunday, March 3, 2024.
Her funeral service will be held at 3:00 p.m.on Wednesday, March 6, 2024, in the Mt. Pleasant Methodist Church Christian Life Center with Rev. Byron Alexander officiating. Burial will follow in the church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1:45 until 2:45 p.m. prior to the service.
Mrs. Lutz was born October 14, 1930, in Gaston County, to the late Roy Lee Jones and Margaret VanDyke Jones. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Norman D. Lutz; brother, Leonard Jones; and grandson, Christopher Shaun Lutz.
She is survived by a son, Keith Lutz (Margie) of Maiden; grandchildren, Bryan Lutz and Allison Hinson (Steven), all of Gastonia; bonus grandchildren, Keith Gooden (Shelia) of Maiden, and Tommi Chapman (Jeremy) of Connelly Springs; and great-grandchildren, Elijah, Kaleb, Steven, Tristan, Rylan, Declan, Christian, Carin, Samantha, Sophie, Thomas, Tori, and Brock.
