Helen "Cheree" Gray Perkins

Helen “Cheree” Perkins, age 57, of Guy Perkins Trail in Iron Station, died on Wednesday, February 14, 2024.
Her funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, February 17, 2024, at Pearl Baptist Church with Rev. Hugh Whitfield officiating. Burial will follow in the Sharon Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 10:00 until 10:45 a.m. on Saturday at Pearl Baptist Church.
“Cheree” was born December 13, 1966, in Gaston County, to Earl and Shirley Chandler Gray. She was an associate agent for Farm Bureau Insurance.
She is survived by her husband, Guy Gordon Perkins, Jr. of the home; two sons, Guy H. Perkins and wife Annie, and Joseph Earl Perkins, all of Iron Station; two daughters, Ruth Perkins of Kitty Hawk, NC, and Sophie Perkins of the home; brother, Mark Gray of Salisbury; niece, Riley Gray; nephew, Bryson Gray; and her parents, Earl Gray and Shirley Chandler of Kannapolis.
Memorials may be made to Pearl Baptist Church, Building Fund, 4641 E. Highway 27, Iron Station, NC 28080.
