Rufus Ivory Pressley

Rufus Ivory Pressley, age 85, of 4945 King Wilkinson Road in Denver, died on Saturday, December 16, 2023.
His funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, December 21, 2023, at Victory Baptist Church with Rev. Lonny Ramsey officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 3:00 until 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday, December 20, 2023, at Warlick Funeral Home.
Rufus was born December 8, 1938, in Transylvania County, to the late Herbert and Ethel Mae West Pressley. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Brenda Jean Blackwell Pressley; sisters, Lucy Reeves and Elva Owens; and brothers, Ralph Pressley, Cecil Pressley, Harley Pressley, and Arthur Pressley. He worked in logging.
He is survived by a daughter, Lisa Williamson of Denver; son, Ivey Dale Pressley of Denver; brother, Charley Pressley of Denver; twin sister, Ruth McCall of Columbus, NC; and two grandchildren, Stephanie Williamson of Denver, and Christopher Dale Pressley of Maiden.
