Lorinda Rose Johson Tate

Lorinda Rose Johnson Tate age 81, of Sunny Hill Drive in Lincolnton died Tuesday, December 12, 2023.
Mrs. Tate was born October 8, 1942, in Nash County. She was the daughter of the late Joseph Johnson and Mary Elizabeth Skinner Johnson. She was preceded in death by sister, Catherine Johnson and brother, Jimmy Wayne Johnson. Mrs. Tate worked as a finisher in manufacturing.
Her service will be 12:00 p.n. Saturday, December 16, 2023, at New Grace Baptist Church. Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. until 11:45 a.m. prior to the service at the church. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
Survivors include her husband, Wilbur Tate; daughters, Peggy Tate of the home, and Laura Whittemore of VA; sister, Mary McMurry of Lincolnton; granddaughters, Lakina Jones , Amanda Tate, Brandy Whittemore and Katie Whittemore all of VA; three great granddaughters; Abby, Autumn, Summer; and great grandson Mason.
Memorials may be made to New Grace Baptist Church, 3462 NC 73, Iron Station NC 28080.
