Rebecca Cox Grier, age 80, of Willow Drive in Lincolnton, went home on Tuesday, November 7, 2023, to be with the Lord after a period of declining health.
Rebecca was born February 22, 1943, in Macon Georgia, to the late Herbert Carey Cox and Dorothy Lee Cox. She obtained a Bachelor’s Degree in Art from Georgia College and State University in Milledgeville, Georgia.
She is survived by her husband, George W. Grier, III of the home; son, David Dean Grier of Shelby; daughters, Katherine G. Smith (Tom) of Knoxville, TN, and Laura Lee Grier, DDS, of Mooresville; sister, Dorothy Kitty C. Peters of Dacula, GA; and two grandchildren, Emily Kaitlin Smith and Sydney Jessica Smith.
Services will be private. Burial will be in Hollybrook Cemetery in Lincolnton, NC.
Memorials may be made to Hospice of Lincoln County, 900 Dontia Drive, Lincolnton, NC 28092.
