Brenda Sue Engle Hilderbran

Brenda Sue Engle Hilderbran, age 82, of Highway 10 in Conover, NC, passed away on Friday, October 06, 2023. Mrs. Hilderbran was born May 24, 1941, in Lincoln County, daughter of the late Hillard Paul and Geneva Canipe Engle.
Mrs. Hilderbran graduated from Appalachian State Teachers College, and taught for many years at Newton-Conover High School. She was a faithful member of Beth Eden Lutheran Church.
Mrs. Hilderbran is survived by her son, Ken Hilderbran and wife, Jessica, of Vale, NC; brother, Ronnie Engle and wife, Becky, of Vale, NC; grandchildren, Jace Paul and Rachel Charlotte Hilderbran; numerous cousins; and faithful in-laws.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Hilderbran was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth Hilderbran, Sr.
A funeral service for Mrs. Hilderbran will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, October 11, 2023, at Beth Eden Lutheran Church, Newton, NC, with Pastor Marcus Ollis officiating. Interment will follow in the Cedar Grove Lutheran Church Cemetery, Vale, NC. The family will receive friends from 4:00 until 6:00 p.m. on Sunday, October 08, 2023, at Warlick Funeral Home, Lincolnton, NC; and from 9:30 until 10:15 a.m. on Wednesday, October 11, 2023, at Beth Eden Lutheran Church, Newton, NC.
Memorials may be made to Beth Eden Lutheran Church, 400 North Main Avenue, Newton, NC 28658; or to Word of Life Lutheran Church Music Fund, P.O. Box 75, Vale, NC 28168.
