Gene Edward Ledford, age 66, of Vale, passed away on Thursday, September 14, 2023.
His funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, September 18, 2023, in the Warlick Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Jeff Rhodes officiating. Burial will follow in the Bethel United Methodist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1:00 until 1:45 p.m. on Monday prior to the service.
Gene was born April 6, 1957, in Lincoln County, to the late James Wilford Ledford and Eva James Grigg Ledford. He worked in textiles.
Surviving him are his wife, Robin Gardner Ledford of the home; daughters, Krista Ledford Dellinger (Shane) of Cherryville, and Sarah Ledford (Alex Finger) of Lincolnton; brother, Frank Ledford of Vale; four grandchildren, Nicholas Ledford, Madison Pruitt, Hazel Lawing, and Dillon Finger; one great-granddaughter, Luna Grace Ledford; and beloved furbabies, Dixie, Annabell, and Marsha.
Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association, 4217 Park Place Court, Glen Allen, VA 23060.
