Donna Pearl Jones Watson, age 62, of Eaker Drive in Cherryville, passed away on Thursday, August 17, 2023.
A Celebration of Life Service for Donna will be held from 2:00 until 4:00 p.m. on Saturday, August 26, 2023 at Plainview Baptist Church, 3640 Dallas-High Shoals Highway, Dallas, North Carolina 28034.
Donna was born November 25, 1960 in Bailey, NC to the late Alfred and Pearl Moody Jones. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Bobby Jones and a stepdaughter, Dianna Renee Watson. Donna worked for Gaston County Schools driving a school bus and working in the cafeteria.
She is survived by her husband, William Joseph Watson, Sr. of the home; son, William Joseph Watson, Jr.; two daughters, Dorothy Elizabeth Watson of Lincolnton and Kathryn Victoria Watson of Dallas; six sisters, Barbara Falls and husband Howard of Kinston, NC, Christie Michelle Jones of Wilson, Diane Hancock of Bailey, NC, Nannette Braswell of Kenley, NC, Laura Cloninger of Denver, NC, and Dorothy Mobley and husband Jason of Kinston, NC; six grandchildren, Ashley, Valerie and David Cattles, Tyler Watson, and Venna and Nova Watson; two great grandchildren, Montgomery O’Dell and Grace Wood.
