K. Joel Campbell

K. Joel Campbell, age 80, of Squirrel Hill Lane in Denver, died on Saturday, August 12, 2023.
His funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, August 17, 2023, at St. Matthews Reformed Church with Rev. William Sowers officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 10:00 until 10:45 a.m. prior to the service.
Mr. Campbell was born November 10, 1942, in Lincoln County, to the late Joe Bandy Campbell and Helen Cline Campbell. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Judy Tilley Campbell. Joel served in the United States Air Force during the Vietnam War. He would later work as a mail carrier for the United States Postal Service.
He is survived by a brother, Kenney Campbell of Lincolnton; two sisters, Beverly Page (James) of Lincolnton, and Kathy Thames of Nelson, VA; and numerous nieces and nephews.
The family would like to express a special thank you to the caregivers, Angee, Becky, Darlene, Gail, Jackie, Josephine,Millie, and his nurse from Carolina Caring, Paige Bortnick.
