Valaria Ann Hoyle Hovis

Valaria Ann Hoyle Hovis, age 87, of Cardinal Care in Lincolnton, and formerly of Sherrill Farm Road, passed away on Wednesday, August 9, 2023.
Her funeral service will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, August 13, 2023, in the Warlick Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Natalie Gray officiating. Burial will follow in the Asbury Methodist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Sunday from 2:00 until 2:45 p.m. at Warlick Funeral Home.
Mrs. Hovis was born April 30, 1936, in Lincoln County, to the late Roland Gilbert Hoyle and Minnie Chapman Hoyle. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James Elliott “Jim” Hovis; son, Duane Hovis; and daughter, Donna H. Dew. She was a homemaker.
She is survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
