Sandra Nantz Hudson
( April 21, 1955 - August 1, 2023 )
On August 1, 2023 we said goodbye to a wonderful Christian woman, Sandra Nantz Hudson, age 68, whose kind spirit and compassion were felt by all those who had the opportunity to know her. While her time here with us has passed, her legacy will be remembered by those she leaves behind.

Sandra was born in Gaston County to the late Lewis Albert and Ejaquline Webb Nantz.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one brother, Terryl Blaine Nantz.

Sandra was first and foremost a devoted Christian. It was her faith that guided her life as she served her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. She was an inspiration to those around her as she sought to reflect the love of God.

Sandra’s rock was her husband, Kenneth Hudson, with whom she shared 46 loving years of marriage. Together they built a home of love and laughter, where they raised two children - Melissa Hudson Clark and Kevin Hudson. They shared many fond memories and enjoyed time spent together as a family.

The birth of her first and only grandson, Grayson Clark, to her daughter and son-in-law, Wes Clark, was an overwhelming joy to Sandra’s heart. She and Grayson shared a special bond, and some of their most memorable moments were during their time at Dollywood - where Sandra would ride with Grayson until his heart’s content. These memories will be remembered by the family forever.

Sandra worked as an accountant for 40+ years before retiring in 2020. During retirement, Sandra enjoyed spending more time tending to her flower garden. The beautiful blooms brought her great joy and satisfaction from the investment of time. Her rose bushes were her favorite. She also enjoyed more time spent traveling where she and Ken had visited nearly every US state.

A memorial service to celebrate Sandra's life will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday, August 5 at Macedonia Baptist Church in Lincolnton, NC. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.  The family will receive friends from 10:00 until 11:15 a.m. prior to the service at the church.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations to be made in Sandra's name to the Macedonia Baptist Church - Benevolent Fund, 5286 E. Highway 150, Lincolnton, NC  28092, as a reflection of her kind and compassionate nature.

While we say goodbye to Sandra, we can take comfort knowing that she is in the arms of the Almighty, and that we will see her again one day. Until then, her memory will continue to be a guiding light of kindness for her friends and family.
