Avery George Adam "Buster" Pruitt, Jr.

Avery George Adam “Buster” Pruitt, age 78, of Laboratory Road in Lincolnton, died on Thursday, July 13, 2023.
His funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, July 18, 2023, in the Warlick Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Richard Jenkins officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 12:00 until 12:45 p.m. on Tuesday at Warlick Funeral Home.
Avery was born March 3, 1945, in Cleveland County, to the late Avery George Adam Pruitt, Sr. and Elvenia Self Pruitt. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two grandsons, Mitchell Bryson and Caleb Cox; brother, Troy Pruitt; and sister, Shirley Oates. He worked in maintenance for La-Z-Boy Furniture.
He is survived by his wife, Shirley Short Pruitt of the home; daughters, Pamela Travis (Chris) of Lincolnton, Dana Bryson (Jack) of Iron Station, and Regina Pruitt of Lincolnton; brother, Ralph Pruitt of Hickory; sister, Edith Willis of Lincolnton; six grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
