Lester Elliott Williams, age 89, of The Addison of Lincolnton, died on Sunday, July 9, 2023.
His funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, July 12, 2023, in the Warlick Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Travis Elmore officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. until 1:45 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home.
Mr. Williams was born January 1, 1934, in Lincoln County, to the late John Tillman Williams and Laire Estelle Hester Williams. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Darlene Williams Elmore; brother, John Williams; and two sisters, Frances Gates and Willie Griggs. He worked in textiles.
He is survived by his wife, Katie Byers Williams of the home; two grandchildren, Beth Cain of Lincolnton, and Travis Elmore (Candace) of Vale; brother, Malcom Williams; and four great-grandchildren, Jacob Cain, Layla Cain, Easton Elmore, and Silas Elmore.
Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association, 4217 Park Place Court, Glen Allen, VA 23060.
