Rev. Jacquelyn Hovis Taylor

Rev. Jacquelyn Hovis Taylor, age 70, of Providence Road in Forest City, died on Sunday, June 25, 2023.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, June 28, 2023, at Asbury Methodist Church in Lincolnton, with Rev. Keys Pendleton and Rev. Natalie Gray officiating. Inurnment in the church columbarium will be held at a later date.
Rev. Taylor was born September 14, 1952, in Lincoln County, to the late Pervie James Hovis and Nellie Kerns Auton Hovis. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Janice Hovis Stroup.
She is survived by her husband, Rev. Bill Taylor; two sisters, Penny Hovis of Lincolnton, and Linda Hovis Lemons (Mark) of Johnson City, TN; brother-in-law, Joe Stroup of Lincolnton; and a number of nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Asbury Methodist Church, PO Box 676, Lincolnton, NC 28093.
