Brenda Diann Friend-Veal Carson, age 73, of Denver, and formerly of Dyer, Tennessee, died on Thursday, June 15, 2023.
Her funeral service will be held at on Saturday, June 24, 2023, at Shackelford Funeral Directors, 304 Crook Avenue Henderson, TN 38340. Burial will follow in the Jacks Creek Apostolic Church cemetery.
Brenda was born October 7, 1949, in Jonesboro, Arkansas, to the late John Earl Friend and Ruby Beatrice Purnell Friend Thompson. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Roger Dale Carson; a son, James Carson; brothers, John Edward Friend, Ruben Earl Friend, and David Allen Friend; and sister, Irma Louise Howard. She worked as a bank teller for Chester County Bank for 23 years.
She is survived by her children, Daniel Carson (Jamie) of Sweetlips, TN, Michelle Nicholson (Jamen) of South Carolina, Ladeana Cochrane (Robert) of North Carolina, Talitha Narney (Robyn) of North Carolina, and Laurinda Burden of North Carolina; daughter-in-law, Jodi Carson; sisters, Wanda Lee Campbell (Joe) of Indiana, Martessia Lynn Morphis of Arkansas, and Rebecca Jean Perkins (Joe) of Arkansas; twenty grandchildren, Christopher Brown, Amanda Smith (Glenn), Ryan Carson (Samantha), Stuart Nicholson, Justin Nicholson, Robbie Cochrane, Derek Francois, Mariah Francois, Blake Francois, Brittany Guinn (Matt), Hannah Carter (Riley), Kristin Carson (Cody), Lee Rayburn, Ilyana Carson, Courtney Smith (Hayden), Brooklyn Pulley (Tristan), Kloey Creasy, Xander Burden, Blaze Burden, and Ryker Burden; and seventeen great-grandchildren.
