William Dale Francis “Sparky,” age 66, of Iron Station, died on Thursday, June 13, 2023.
William was born December 9, 1956, in Mecklenburg County, to the late Walter Cecil Clarke and Lois Clary. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his stepfather, Bill Francis; and life-long partner, Stephanie Susan Mercer. He worked as a mechanic/chemical technician for Water, Inc., was an avid motorcycle enthusiast, musician, paint artist, mechanic at his own business, Sparky’s Custom Paint, worked in car restoration, and had a big heart for a lot of people.
He is survived by his five children, Carrie Gable of Spring Hill, TN, Allen Boothe of Bellaire, OH, Wesley Greene (Robin) of Spokane, WA, Melinda Martin of Wheeling, WV, and Lois Francis of Bridgeport, OH; sisters, Lisa Prox and Lois Fenwick; fifteen grandchildren, Ricky Johnson, II (Katelynn), Dalton Johnson, Jeremy Coulter, Anthony Boothe, Nathaniel Boothe, Breanna Boothe, Braden Boothe, Danielle Boothe, Preston Francis, Kiersyn Martin, Scarlett Martin, Christian Boothe, Ethan Boothe, Jessica Stapp, and Aleea Jones; and four great-grandchildren, Andrew McCort, Isys Coulter, Ryan Johnson, and Xavier Johnson.
