Linda Starlene Frye Murphy
( January 22, 1946 - June 2, 2023 )
Ms. Linda Starlene Frye Murphy, age 77, of Vernon Drive in Jacksonville, NC and formerly of Belmar Street in Newton passed away on Friday, June 2, 2023.
Her funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, June 8, 2023 at Hardin Community Church in Dallas with the Rev. Justin Driver officiating. Burial will follow at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1:00 until 1:45 p.m. prior to the service at the church.
Ms. Murphy was born on January 22, 1946 in Gaston County to the late Harvey Willard and Sarah Elizabeth Beam Frye. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by one brother, Herbert Frye.
Survivors include her three daughters, Cindi Williams and husband Gary Alkins of Jacksonville, NC, Kelly Loungo and husband Joe of Vale and Donna Green of Lincolnton; one son, Sean Murphy and wife Joy of Newton; grandchildren, Blake, Caitlin and Zachary Alkins, Jacob Bush, Logan and Josh Green, Emilie Murphy; one great grandchild, Alexis Green; sisters, Ann Gentry, Sandy Medley, Vickie McConnell, Carol Frye, Lisa Sherbert, and Debbie Johnson; brothers, Harvey Frye, Randy Frye and David Frye.
