Phillip Larry Rogers

Phillip Larry Rogers, age 82 of Denver, NC, passed away on Sunday, May 28, 2023, at Autumn Care in Cornelius.
His funeral service will be held at 12:30 p.m. on Friday, June 2, 2023, at New Hope Baptist Church, Denver, N.C. with Rev. Tim Killian officiating. Burial will be at 3:30 p.m. in the Zion Hill Baptist Church cemetery in Boomer, NC. The family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. prior to the service at the church.
Larry was born September 7, 1940, in Rowan County, to the late Ned Wilson Rogers and Marybell Walsh Rogers. However, he grew up in Wilkes County. He worked as a heavy equipment mechanic.
He is survived by his wife, Mary Sue Avery Rogers of the home; son, Phillip Rogers of Cornelius; daughter, Susie R. Furr of Maiden; and grandson, Logan Furr of Harrisburg.
